Make Vocabulary Improvement a Game

It's a great way for you to learn and to teach your kids! Make your new goal a game for the whole family. Perhaps quiz each other at the dinner table. It's a great way to have family time together and learn at the same time.

Making a game of it also helps your kids learn new words which gives them an advantage when they grow older. Quiz your kids on new words, and give them an introduction to higher forms of vocabulary by asking them to look up words. Reward them for learning new words, and ask them to come up with a word to attempt to stump you.

Games can even be used in the car during long drives where kids get restless. Make a game of each passing item and try to come up with descriptive words along with their antonyms. This will increase your vocabulary, increase your kids vocabulary, and it makes the long drive pass by more quickly.
