Finance
Finance provides for the management of money and other assets, banking, investments and credit. Also it is the supplying of credit (funds or capital) as needed, and places it in banks as well as other investments (e.g. finance a car, mortgage or building project). Finance is quickly becoming a major component of any large business due to the ever growing list of requirements of business.
In some businesses specialized credit is also necessary to run operations, such as an auto dealership where they will often have a floor plan to finance the vehicles they take into inventory for a short period. This enables a larger inventory when cash is on hand, thereby insulating against business cycles where expenses may exceed income.
An old adage, we are born with two ears and one mouth can be applied to communication, so remember to listen carefully and respond appropriately. Communication success occurs when all parties walk away with a common understanding. So by paying attention and having a good vocabulary, you can be sure you will not make a blunder through misunderstanding. You will be able to communicate your own thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely.
The first section (the largest) will introduce you over a hundred common words that aren't specific to any one area of business. You may already be familiar with these fairly generic terms and probably have encountered them in some aspects of your work. It is advisable to review these as they will help you to better understand the words that address more particular areas of business.
The second section is more career-specific and will give you vocabulary for some core areas of business. These words will enable you to narrow the focus on the many areas of commerce as they apply to your business or profession. A good understanding and the ability to use these words will increase your confidence. And yes, that increased confidence naturally leads to more life success, as well as the respect of your work colleagues and business associates.
The final section will help you to express yourself naturally using your new found vocabulary. The words will flow and people will listen. Allow time to read, remember and review what you have learnt. You will soon be ready for the choices life throws at you.
